Ample combines clinical expertise and personalized care to make hair restoration approachable and empowering.
Hair loss is a journey that many will experience, and it’s deeply personal. For many people, their hair is often a part of their identity. Losing this aspect of themselves can feel stressful and isolating. It can even trigger conditions like anxiety, embarrassment, and decreased confidence.
The hair restoration journey most patients go on today is anything but supportive or personalized. This leads many patients to feel confused and unsupported at a time when they need help the most.
Identifying an opportunity to improve care for people with hair loss
As our team at Redesign Health began combing through the hair restoration landscape, we identified an expanding market ripe for innovation.
Hair loss affects roughly 80 million people — 50 million men and 30 million women — in the U.S. alone. While hair loss can start in the teenage years, the risk increases with age. In fact, half of all men experience some level of hair loss after age 50. Additionally, more than 50% of women will experience some sort of hair loss in their lifetimes. Hair restoration offers a proven solution in high demand, with a market size expected to grow by more than 15% per year through 2028.
Yet when patients take the brave step of seeking hair restoration treatment, their experience is often underwhelming. Many patients have limited facetime with their clinicians and don’t receive the comprehensive level of support they need to help them manage their hair health over the rest of their lifetime.
Introducing Ample, built to reshape the hair restoration journey
Ample combines clinical expertise and personalized, relationship-based care to create an approachable and empowering hair restoration experience for all. Designed with today’s modern patient in mind, Ample leverages a consumer-friendly app and a dedicated team of health experts and clinicians to destigmatize and positively reshape each individual’s journey.
With Ample, patients can choose from a range of treatment options, including state-of-the-art transplant care, in-office clinical treatments, and proactive hair growth regimens. Additionally, patients receive guidance and support every step of the way. The integrated Ample platform gives patients access to a personal online portal, virtual consultations and check-ins, and hair regrowth tracking tools.
Each step of the Ample hair care journey is designed to be personal, convenient and high-touch:
Personal hair care team: The hair restoration journey begins with a free consultation—either virtual or in-person—from a hair health expert. During the meeting, the expert will gather a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s needs, including their hair health history and their goals.
Expert medical consultation: Post-consultation, patients can meet with one of Ample’s physicians to develop a personalized plan of care.
State-of-the-art studio: Ample conducts hair treatments and procedures in its flagship studio, a 4,500-square-foot facility conveniently located just south of Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan. The studio includes surgical and non-surgical suites, post-operative care rooms and welcoming common areas within a comfortable and relaxing environment.
Long-term hair support: Ample provides patients with the guidance they need throughout their lifelong journey, including follow-up services, digital check-ins, expert-led regrowth tracking, and pre- and post-op instructions.
This thoughtful approach truly reshapes how people feel about their hair restoration treatment.
