It was an exciting year for Redesign Health! Among many milestones, we celebrated the public launch of multiple healthcare companies, welcomed an impressive roster of talented founders into the Redesign Health ecosystem, and hosted our inaugural summit for the CEOs of our Operating Companies. Here’s a look-back at some of our most exciting moments from this year.

1. We announced our Series C fundraise, with new partners General Catalyst, CVS Health Ventures and UPMC Enterprises, and shared that Hemant Taneja, CEO and Managing Director of General Catalyst, joined our Board.

  • Eden Global Partners, Euclidean Capital, Samsung Next, TriplePoint Capital, and founding investor Declaration Partners also participated in the financing. Alongside their investments, General Catalyst, CVS Health Ventures and UPMC Enterprises announced they’ll aim to leverage our platform tools, technologies, and insights to help build and support dozens of businesses addressing unmet needs in the coming years. • This fall, we announced the first company to be created out of our partnership with UPMC Enterprises with the launch of Pip Care, a new company that helps patients prepare for and recover from surgery through a consumer-facing app.

2. We celebrated the public launch of eight new companies built at Redesign Health, and funded many more.

  • In 2022, exceptional founding teams launched eight healthcare businesses at Redesign Health, with over a dozen additional companies funded.
    • Coral Health- A culturally fluent health platform that improves engagement and long-term outcomes of diverse communities through education, activation and healthcare resources tailored to meet unique cultural needs.
    • Motto- Motto helps patients take control of their Rheumatoid Arthritis with integrative, science-backed care—guided by a team of experts.
    • TempoPay- TempoPay helps people access the care they need, and then set up a flexible, personalized payment plan that works with the rhythm of their life.
    • Primum- Primum helps healthcare providers navigate complex treatment decisions by facilitating compliant scientific exchange in order to make peer insight accessible and actionable.
    • Together Senior Health- Together Senior Health is a digital therapeutic and community platform dedicated to helping people with Alzheimer's and dementia remain healthy and independent at home.
    • CardioOne- CardioOne is a next generation network of independent cardiology practices. Built to ease the burden of managing a practice, while accelerating clinical quality, financial performance and growth.
    • Fort Health- Fort Health is a child and adolescent mental health company on a mission to broaden access to quality, affordable, and evidence-based mental health services for children aged 4 to 19 and their families.
    • Pip Care- Pip coordinates your “to-do”s, tracks your appointments, and provides 1:1 assistance for each phase of your surgical journey so you can feel empowered and prepared.

3. We announced the addition of 13 talented leaders to build and scale Redesign Health Operating Companies.

4. We hosted our first Summit for CEOs of companies built at Redesign Health.

  • We brought together 30+ Operating Company CEOs and our Venture Chairs for the inaugural Re View Summit in September, a two-day event focused on the best practices for successfully scaling businesses. The event provided invaluable opportunities for attendees to connect with their peers and Venture Chairs in person, encouraging stronger connections to Redesign Health and our community at large.

5. We announced our partnership with KidsX, a consortium of dozens of leading children's hospitals, to address unmet needs in the pediatrics space.

  • Together we launched "KidsX Build", a program designed to identify, build and scale innovative healthcare companies that address the needs of pediatrics patients, clinicians and service providers.

6. We launched the new Redesign Health rebrand, which embodies both our aspirations for the future and the urgency that this moment in healthcare demands.

We’re energized by the progress the ecosystem of 1,000+ Redesign Health employees and Operating Companies have made this year towards our mission of redesigning health for everyone. We look forward to the opportunities 2023 will bring!
