Dan Smith is the Co-Founder & CEO of Kins, a company focused on physical therapy. Dan has been a leader at the intersection of consumer health, commerce, and technology for more than a decade. Previously, he served as COO, and later CEO, of Runkeeper, the world’s first and largest mobile running community. After building a passionate following of 35M runners and athletes worldwide, Runkeeper was acquired by ASICS Corporation in 2016. Following the acquisition, Dan was appointed head of ASICS Digital –– a new digital consumer division responsible for all digital consumer experience and platforms across fitness, media and membership. Since its founding, ADI (ASICS Digital) grew to more than 200 employees, scaled the company’s digital services to more than 50M members, and delivered 50% YoY revenue growth with annual global sales exceeding $350M. Prior to his work at Runkeeper and ASICS, Dan held positions as CEO and CTO in several commerce, media, and payment companies including Head of Technology at Heartland Payment Systems. Dan holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Merrimack College and earned his M.B.A. from MIT Sloan.
